North Cyprus Freezes Planning Permissions!
Yesterday, the North Cypriot Government unexpectedly froze all planning permissions on all new projects on the North coast of Cyprus. New Round of Settlement Talks
This announcement coincides with the talks that have just been arranged between Kofi Annan and President Talat and to which the Greek Cypriot Government has been invited. The U.N is now making an all out attempt to settle the Cyprus issue before Kofi Annan steps down. It is rumoured that the U.S.A. is behind the current flurry of diplomacy. Further, it has been suggested that if there is no major shift before the end of the year from the current intransigent position of the Greek side, then the U.S.A. will unilaterally recognise North Cyprus.
Prices Likely to Rocket
In the short term this situation is going to starve the market of a large number of new projects planned and will put an immediate upward pressure on prices. Obviously, if these negotiations are successful and a settlement is announced or the USA simply recognises the TRNC anyway, then prices of all North Cyprus properties are likely to go through the roof.
Our products with planning permission already in place include, Turtle Bay Village, Turtle Bay Heights, Turtle Bay View, Turtle Bay Cove and Turtle Bay Beach.
Last Chance to Buy at 2006 Prices
The pre-Christmas period will be your last chance to buy properties at the current low prices. Whatever the outcome of this new round of talks, prices on all of our properties will be increasing by 10% on the 8 th January.
You can place a refundable, transferable deposit on a property today and book a visit for the New Year, which will effectively freeze the price until you have seen the property for yourself.
